Hayley MacMillen is an associate at the Norton Law Firm. She graduated from Berkeley Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as an editor of the California Law Review. As a law student, Ms. MacMillen conducted research with Berkeley Law professors in the areas of reproductive justice, constitutional torts, and negligence law. Her legal experience includes internships with the Center for Reproductive Rights, the Center for WorkLife Law, and the California Department of Justice’s Healthcare Rights and Access Section.
Ms. MacMillen earned her bachelor’s degree in philosophy with a minor in global health from Northwestern University. After graduation, she worked in Bujumbura, Burundi, as a communications officer for local medical nonprofits through a fellowship with Global Health Corps. She then worked for several years as a journalist specializing in sexual and reproductive health for publications including Refinery29, Cosmopolitan, and Allure, where she launched and directed the website’s health section.
