The Norton Law Firm Welcomes Associates Hayley Landman and Saja Spearman-Weaver and Paralegal Celeste Peifer

The Norton Law Firm, a litigation boutique selected by the Daily Journal to its “Top Boutiques 2025” list, welcomes Hayley Landman and Saja Spearman-Weaver to the firm as Associates and Celeste Peifer as Paralegal.

Co-founder Fred Norton noted, “We commend Hayley and Saja on completion of their clerkships, and welcome them and Celeste to the firm.”

Ms. Spearman-Weaver recently completed a two-year clerkship on the United States District Court, Northern District of California, for the Honorable William H. Orrick, III. She earned her J.D. from Yale Law School where she served as a research assistant supporting research on police brutality and other civil rights issues and as a teaching assistant supporting courses in Constitutional law. She also represented incarcerated individuals in a class action lawsuit seeking improved protection for juveniles sentenced to life without parole and worked with the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office on consumer protection litigation. While in law school, she served as an editor on the Yale Law and Policy Review. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, Berkeley, with dual B.A.s in Political Science and African American Studies.

Ms. Landman recently completed a two-year clerkship on the United States District Court, Northern District of California, for the Hon. Jeffrey S. White. Previously, she practiced as an associate in the St. Louis and Los Angeles offices of Thompson Coburn LLP, where she worked on a wide range of cases in courts and in arbitration proceedings. She earned her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law and her B.A., magna cum laude, from Northwestern University. While in law school, she served as an editor on the boards of both the California Law Review and Ecology Law Quarterly. She also worked as a teaching and research assistant to the Honorable Thelton Henderson of the Northern District of California (inactive), and as a judicial extern to the Honorable Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye of the California Supreme Court.

Ms. Peifer previously worked at Willkie Farr & Gallagher and several litigation boutiques, where she supported matters involving employment, data privacy, and consumer protection. She partners with legal teams to manage all phases of complex commercial disputes, class actions, investigations, and regulatory matters, and oversees large-scale discovery, deposition and expert logistics, and key filings, ensuring that litigation teams remain organized, aligned, and effective. She earned her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
