In his nomination of Wendy for this award, partner James Bennett shared that Wendy is respected by colleagues, clients, judges, and juries alike, and her professionalism, intelligence, and influence make her a deserving recipient of the award. “She has an exceptional ability to distill complex issues, advocate effectively, and achieve outstanding client results. She is also a dedicated mentor, actively guiding and advancing the careers of Asian American women in the legal profession,” he said.

As noted in the profile, Wendy is known as a leader on high-stakes trial teams for technology, consumer products, retail, and media companies. She served as lead counsel in a trial for a major retailer, winning a significant victory in a California Private Attorneys General Act case that set precedent for similar cases. She was a key member on the defense team for Uber in the Waymo v. Uber autonomous vehicle case, as well as the Lattice Semiconductor trial team, which won a full defense verdict, defeating contract and fraud claims of $83 million plus punitive damages.
